On our way to Wales when my husband received a puncture in his motorcycle tyre. Our journey came to a halt very close to Holly Bank.
The staff and residents were very helpful, going above and beyond to help us.
Once settled at the site we found the toilet/shower block, clean and warm. The site itself was well maintained and overnight there was no noise.

Pleasant to talk to, toilets clean, nice park on the hard standing area where I was pitched, a good all rounder for location but don't expect it to be like a club site. Yes I will go back.
Stopped here for 3 nights when doing the Manchester Marathon. Very nice site and very accommodating.
The area where we stayed (bottom field) was very quiet.
Arriving after a 6 hour drive it was a big relief to see that the site was immaculately groomed and clean, in fact we were stunned. Also the staff that greeted us were very modest, friendly and helpful.
The wardens and staff work very hard and clearly take pride in the place, the bathrooms were very clean to and almost obsessive level.
We had a very nice stay indeed, and would stay again without hesitation.
We had our new caravan put into the secure storage at Holly Bank, then on our return we had it put on a pitch. The staff at Holly Bank are very helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy on our pitch.
The toilets/showers are heated in the winter, they are very clean and the water is hot.
The whole site is well looked after and the staff take great pride in keeping it looking first class.
We would definitely say that the site is secure, clean, well kept and above all the staff are very helpful.
This is our local camp site for trying out new gear or simply just sneaking off overnight for a chill out!
It has benefited from new management and we would definitely recommend it. It's tucked in on the left at the foot of Warburton Toll Bridge.
A great site to stop off and recharge your batteries as well if you're on a long drive. Nice pub locally (Green Dragon in Lymm) and there's a superstore a short way down the road to replenish supplies.
My husband, myself and our 2 young children stayed here over a weekend. Although it rained on occasion we all had a great time.
The sites facilities were brilliant, the showers and toilets were immaculately kept and there was also no charge for showers or hairdryer which was great. There was also a games room on site which would come in useful when the weather was really bad. Our eldest son enjoyed the little swing that was hanging from the trees on site.
The surrounding area was lovely but not too far away from all the amenities and there was a lovely walk/cycle path nearby.
All in all a great site in pretty surroundings, with polite staff. I would definitely return.
